2021

The first ever Festival of Consciousnesses opened its doors on July 24th 2021 in Ada Cignalija, Belgrade, Serbia. The first ever event of this kind was an occasion to energise and dignify the senses as well as our spiritual potential, to celebrate life and who we are. The Festival offered 7 zones to showcase a diverse range of charity programs that give back to the world in their unique ways. The festival offered only plant-based food that is cruelty-free, and healthy juices and drinks, in demonstration of the values of compassion and non-violence to all beings and Mother Earth.

Main Stage

Mohanji used this opportunity to address the importance of Returning to Yourself, the very idea behind this festival.

Guided by Devi Mohan, a part of the participants later dived into the world of inner peace and abundance with the Power of Purity meditation and later on with a transformative process, “Connect to Yourself” aiming to unlock and recognise the unique potential we carry.

The program continued with a panel discussion. Mr. Dolf Zantinger shared with the festival audience the insights into his intriguing discoveries on coherent water creating a conscious world.

The ancient wonders of Ayurveda were presented by a panel of esteemed researchers from India – Dr. Rashmi Pramod, Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Prof. Abhijit Ghosh, Dr. Vaidya Pawankumar Ramesh Godatwar discussing the ancient Indian science of life.

Jelena Fassbender and the Lotus Band delighted the festival audience with their lively session of bhajans and kirtan – just as it is traditionally done in Mother India, the large group rejoiced in singing and dancing together.

A very special occasion of this festival day was the launch of two new books by Mohanji – “Silence of Shiva“ and “Success“. For this occasion, Mohanji and Madhusudan Rajagopalan, the CEO of the Mohanji Foundation Global, were joined by his Excellencies Mr. Dimas Jesus Alveranga, the Honourable Venezuelan Ambassador to Serbia and Mr.Vijay Kumar, the Charge d Affairs of the Indian Embassy in Serbia. In an atmosphere of mutual friendship and understanding, the two dignitaries expressed their support of the values and vision of Mohanji Foundation worldwide, shared by both of their respective countries.

Traditionally called Satsang, the afternoon saw a marvellous interactive exchange in a session of transformative talks with Mohanji. Among the many pearls of wisdom that he shared answering the questions of the festival participants, are:

“Today, we celebrate people like Mahatma Gandhi, Jesus Christ, Nikola Tesla etc. Why does the world remember them? Because they invested themselves in the world. Only you have no limitations, you are unlimited, everything else is limited. You are a true path to success.”

The day was brought to a close by a very special meditation in the movement led by Devi Mohan – a session of Conscious Dance aligning the participants through spontaneous movement. Followed by a live performance of Reimagine, the anthem of the World Consciousness Alliance whose words were written by Mohanji himself. His daughter Mila, together with Jelena Fassbender and the children from the festival kids’ corner, performed the anthem calling for unity, love and peace in abundance.

Himalayan School

Himalayan School offered a wide range of traditional practises from India including yoga, pranayama, traditional dance and Kalari Payattu

For all early risers, the program started with a session of morning traditional yoga focusing on the heart centre. Surrounded by nature they were able to touch their own nature.  This was a very nice way to prepare to truly experience the slogan of the festival ‘Celebrate Life’. HSTY presented simple and useful breathing techniques that can always serve as a first aid to calm the mind and body, relieve tension and stress in order to return to balance, our natural state.

Participants enjoyed an impressive performance of Bharathanatyam recital by the artistic director of the  Himalayan School of Traditional Dance, Radha Subramanian from India, along with her students from India, Serbia, and the USA.

Everyone present also had an opportunity to get acquainted with Kalari Payattu – a traditional martial art form native to South India. Kalari Payattu is not just a self-defense/combative discipline, it is a tool to understand and know yourself.

Inner balance

Participants had an opportunity to experience and enjoy the Mai-Tri method and traditional Chinese Medicine treatments.

Mai-Tri Method is a profound method of deep cleansing and harmonizing in which deep-seated subconscious blockages are removed, even from the subtlest layer of our existence – the causal body – where seeds of karmic impressions are stored. While the cleansing reaches deep into the energy records, it is important to note that Mai-Tri Method does not interfere with the destiny aspect of karma (as this is what has been chosen at the soul level, be it pleasant or unpleasant to our mind).

Conscious talks

People had the opportunity to hear inspiring talks on the powerful technique Consciousness Kriya, how Mohanji Foundation is Adding Value to the World in more than 90 countries where Mohanji is present. Also, to learn more about selfless service throughout ACT Foundation and how that can lead one to inner transformation and purification. Participants had the opportunity to discover how we can Transform the World through Performing Arts and how to join the WCA platform and give their contribution.

Conscious Walking Zone

Conscious Walking Zone offered sessions of a new technique – Conscious Eternity Walking, as well as regular CW sessions.

Conscious Walking is a dynamic guided walking meditation created by Mohanji. The philosophy behind Conscious Walking is rooted in ancient Vedic and Buddhist principles and practices. When we walk unconsciously, letting our senses loose, we spend much more energy than usual. The more energy we have in the present moment, the better quality of life we can achieve.

Kids zone

Making the Festival family friendly was one of the main goals. We wanted parents to be able to fully enjoy the program while knowing their kids are in safe hands.  All children attending the festival were greeted by the Balkan Early Birds Club for Kids in a specially designed area for a day of fun and learning. They enjoyed sessions of yoga, traditional dance, meditation, creative workshops and many more.

Food zone

The vegan food corner, prepared by Mohanji family from India, UK and Serbia, was a true and remarkable treat that everyone enjoyed until the end of the festival day. Most of the participants visited it on several occasions and were delighted by the array of Indian tasty yet healthy food options.

In his final words of the day, Mohanji acknowledged more than 80 volunteers who selflessly invested themselves in order to organize this outstanding event. He also thanked every single participant for their courage to show up and reconnect – because, without them, none of this would have mattered. This festival was a joint effort, where everyone contributed to a better world.
